Easy Tuna Patties

Crispy and delicious easy tuna patties – they’re quick to prepare and economical too. Great dipped in ketchup or hot sauce, or even served as a tuna burger!

Serves 4

Prep time: 10 minutes, Cook time 20 minutes


  • 2 cans Bolinao’s Best Tuna, drained
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or cilantro
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions, or finely diced shallot
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter


  1. Beat egg and lemon juice in a large bowl. Add bread crumbs and mustard and stir well.
  2. Stir in tuna, herbs, onion, salt and pepper until well-mixed, but tuna still has some chunks. Shape mixture into eight 1-inch-thick patties.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat, add butter and begin frying patties until golden brown, about 5 minutes per side. Cook in two batches if needed to not crowd the pan.
  4. Serve easy tuna patties when hot and crispy, with lemon, ketchup and/or hot sauce. Enjoy!
