Easy Tuna Patties April 25, 2021 By Jean Crispy and delicious easy tuna patties – they’re quick to prepare and economical too. Great dipped in ketchup or hot sauce, or even served as a tuna burger! Serves 4 Prep time: 10 minutes, Cook time 20 minutes Ingredients: 2 cans Bolinao’s Best Tuna, drained1 egg2 tbsp lemon juice1/2 cup bread crumbs2 tsp Dijon mustard2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or cilantro2 tbsp chopped green onions, or finely diced shallotSalt and black pepper to taste2 tbsp olive oil1 tbsp butter Directions: Beat egg and lemon juice in a large bowl. Add bread crumbs and mustard and stir well.Stir in tuna, herbs, onion, salt and pepper until well-mixed, but tuna still has some chunks. Shape mixture into eight 1-inch-thick patties.Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat, add butter and begin frying patties until golden brown, about 5 minutes per side. Cook in two batches if needed to not crowd the pan.Serve easy tuna patties when hot and crispy, with lemon, ketchup and/or hot sauce. Enjoy!
